The Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) basketball nipped the host Wapello Indians (Wapello, IA), 38-31 in Tuesday's league test.

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA). The Wolves go into the SEI - North test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Winfield-Mt. Union got by Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA), 43-42, in a league test.

The Indians now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Highland for a SEI - North bout on Friday, December 15. Wapello will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 44-29 non-league loss to WACO (Wayland, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 5-2.
