The Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX) basketball nipped the host Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX), 52-47 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lions (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Gilmer (Gilmer, TX). The Buckeyes go into the 4A Region III District 17 test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Gilmer got by Chapel Hill (Mount Pleasant, TX), 37-32, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Kilgore for a 4A Region III District 17 test on Friday, December 15. Spring Hill will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 35-22 league loss to Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-7.
