Mississippi High School Basketball - Northwest Rankin knocked off by Meridian

The Meridian Wildcats basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Northwest Rankin Cougars to 44 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Grove for a 7A Region 3 contest on Friday, December 15. Meridian will battle a Warriors team coming off a 42-36 non-league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 5-5.
The Cougars (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers enter the 7A Region 3 contest with a 5-5 record.
