In Tuesday's league outing, the Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX), by a margin of 39-9.

The Pirates (8-10) will now prepare for their outing against West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Wranglers go into the 5A Region II District 12 outing with a 2-13 record. In their last outing, West Mesquite smashed Spruce (Dallas, TX), 37-19, in a league outing.

The Stallions now own a 5-16 record. They play next when they travel to Seagoville for a 5A Region II District 12 outing on Friday, December 15. North Mesquite will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 50-12 league win over Samuell (Dallas, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 4-6.
