North Carolina High School Basketball - Draughn can't hold off East Burke

The East Burke Cavaliers basketball team scored 28 points and held the host Draughn Wildcats to 26 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maiden for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15.

The Wildcats (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Avery County (Newland, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Avery County nudged McDowell (Marion, NC), 53-40, in a non-league contest.
