South Dakota High School Basketball - Avon routs Colome

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Avon Pirates basketball team scored a big 56-17 triumph over the Colome Cowboys.

The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Jaguars go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Corsica/Stickney was trounced by Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD), 42-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cowboys battle the Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Colome will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Coyotes go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 47-29 non-league loss to Highmore/Harrold (Highmore, SD).
