In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Avon Pirates basketball team scored a big 77-23 win over the Colome Cowboys.
The Pirates (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD). The Raiders come into the B Region 4 contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Gayville-Volin was trounced by Centerville (Centerville, SD), 68-54, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Cowboys battle the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks (Armour, SD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 28. Colome will attempt to better on its 0-17 season record. The Nighthawks come into the contest with a 11-8 record after their 59-54 non-league loss to Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD).
