St. Charles Fighting Saints (St. Charles, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Dover-Eyota Eagles (Eyota, MN), 82-77 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Charles upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Fighting Saints travel to Chatfield (Chatfield, MN) to play the Gophers in a AA Section 1 bout on Friday, December 16. The Gophers come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Chatfield lost 54-48 in their recent non-league bout against Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs (Elgin, MN) in a AA Section 1 bout, on Friday, December 16. Dover-Eyota will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 81-56 league win over Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN).
