The Rio Hondo Bobcats basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Monte Alto Blue Devil to 27 in the Bobcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bobcats now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Rosa for a 3A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, December 16. Rio Hondo will meet a Warriors team coming off a 59-47 league win over IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 7-7.

The Blue Devil (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Progreso (Progreso, TX). The Red Ants enter the 3A Region IV District 32 contest with a 11-6 record.
