New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA), 63-53 in a league bout.

With the win, New Hampton upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Chickasaws host Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA) to play the Vikings in a Northeast Iowa bout on Friday, December 16. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Decorah-North Winneshiek won 64-61 in their recent league bout against Crestwood (Cresco, IA)

Next up, the Indians play the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA) in a Northeast Iowa bout, on Friday, December 16. Waukon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Go-Hawks go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 79-18 league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA).
