The North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Blue Mountain Eagles (Schuylkill Haven, PA), 62-49 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Panther Valley (Lansford, PA). The Panthers go into the Schuylkill County 1 test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Panther Valley went down by Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA), 66-28, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Panther Valley for a Schuylkill County 1 test on Friday, December 16. Blue Mountain will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 62-58 league win over Pine Grove (Pine Grove, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-2.
