North Carolina High School Basketball - Draughn crushes Owen

Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), 65-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Draughn upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 0-6. Patton lost 55-19 in their recent non-league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)

Next up, the Warhorses play the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 42 bout, on Friday, December 16. Owen will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 61-45 non-league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC).
