The West Stokes Wildcats basketball team (King, NC), was nudged 48-43 in Tuesday's league battle with the host McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC)
The Phoenix now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Stokes for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 14. McMichael will battle a Sauras team coming off a 68-61 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 4-3.
The Wildcats (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Walkertown (Walkertown, NC). The Wolfpack come into the 2A Conference 34 battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Walkertown edged Thomasville (Thomasville, NC), 67-30, in a non-league battle.
