In Wednesday's non-league outing, the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), by a count of 52-33.
The Spartans (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, West Caldwell was topped by Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 66-19, in a non-league outing.
The Red Tornadoes now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Freedom for a non-league outing on Friday, December 15. Hickory will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 55-49 non-league loss to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-3.
