The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) and the visiting Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), observed Cherokee's basketball team knock off Andrews by a score of 71-55.

The Braves (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cosby (Cosby, TN). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Cosby was knocked off by North Greene (Greeneville, TN), 61-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a 1A Big Smoky challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Andrews will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 79-51 non-league win over Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC).
