Illinois High School Basketball - Eureka can't hold off Fieldcrest

Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL), 57-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Fieldcrest advances its record to 4-0 on the year. The Knights travel to Dwight (Dwight, IL) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Monday, December 16. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 4-3. Dwight won 58-38 in their recent league match against Midland (Varna, IL)
The Hornets now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rock Falls for a non-league match on Saturday, December 14. Eureka will face a Rockets squad coming off a 77-72 non-league win over Mendota (Mendota, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 6-0.
