In Friday's league contest, the host South Lamar Stallions basketball team scored a close 60-56 win over the Pickens County Tornadoes.
The Stallions (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sulligent (Sulligent, AL). The Blue Devils come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record.
In their next game, the Tornadoes battle the Gordo Green Wave (Gordo, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 16. Pickens County will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Green Wave come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 53-36 league loss to Carbon Hill (Carbon Hill, AL).
