Nebraska High School Basketball - Perkins County thwarts Kimball

December 13, 2024: Kimball, NE 69145

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) and the host Kimball Longhorns (Kimball, NE), observed Perkins County's basketball team knock off Kimball by a score of 54-44.

The Plainsmen (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Paxton (Paxton, NE). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Paxton prevailed over Potter-Dix (Potter, NE), 66-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Longhorns encounter the Morrill Lions (Morrill, NE) in a D1 District 12 challenge, on Saturday, December 14. Kimball will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 41-26 non-league win over Hay Springs (Hay Springs, NE).
