North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Guilford nips Northern Guilford

In Friday's league contest, the host Northwest Guilford Vikings basketball team scored a close 78-75 triumph over the Northern Guilford Nighthawks.

The Vikings (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gray Collegiate Academy (West Columbia, SC). The War Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record.

In their next game, the Nighthawks battle the Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 14. Northern Guilford will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 59-34 non-league win over Riverside-Durham (Durham, NC).
