Alpena Leopards (Alpena, AR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mount Judea Eagles (Mount Judea, AR), 79-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Alpena upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Leopards host Deer (Deer, AR) to play the Antlers in a 1A Region 1 East bout on Friday, December 16. The Antlers go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Deer won 61-60 in their recent league bout against Oark (Oark, AR)

Next up, the Eagles play the Omaha Eagles (Omaha, AR) in a 1A Region 1 East bout, on Friday, December 16. Mount Judea will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 70-49 league loss to Jasper (Jasper, AR).
