Beloved Community Charter Owls (Jersey City, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host University Academy Charter Generals (Jersey City, NJ), 76-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Beloved Community Charter upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Owls host Newark Vocational (Newark, NJ) to play the Eagles in a Freelance bout on Friday, December 15. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Newark Vocational lost 56-41 in their recent league bout against Marion P. Thomas (Newark, NJ)

Next up, the Generals play the Henry Hudson Admirals (Highlands, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. University Academy Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Admirals come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 64-36 non-league win over Perth Amboy Vo-Tech (Perth Amboy, NJ).
