The Emerson Pirates (Emerson, AR) basketball knocked off the visiting Columbia Christian Crusaders (Magnolia, AR), 52-37 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Pirates (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Dermott (Dermott, AR). The Rams go into the 1A Region 8 test with a 6-9 record.
The Crusaders now own a 15-7 record. They play next when they travel to Providence Classical Academy for a non-league test on Monday, December 18. Columbia Christian will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 36-34 non-league win over Marshall Christian Academy (Marshall, TX). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
