The Valley Tigers basketball team scored 81 points and held the visiting Johnston Dragons to 49 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norwalk for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Valley will meet a Warriors team coming off a 75-48 league win over Indianola (Indianola, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.

The Dragons (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, Dallas Center-Grimes triumphed over Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA), 72-47, in a league contest.
