Ohio High School Basketball - Alexander holds off Vinton County

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH) and the visiting Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH), saw Alexander's basketball squad hold off Vinton County by a tally of 45-41.

With the victory, Alexander improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH) to confront the Buckeyes in a Tri-Valley - Ohio challenge on Monday, December 18. The Buckeyes come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Nelsonville-York won 65-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Trimble (Glouster, OH)

Next up, the Vikings confront the River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Ohio challenge, on Monday, December 18. Vinton County will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 64-51 league win over Wellston (Wellston, OH).
