Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH) and the visiting Chesapeake Panthers (Chesapeake, OH), saw Portsmouth's basketball squad wallop Chesapeake by a tally of 65-25.
With the victory, Portsmouth improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Mason County (Maysville, KY) to confront the Royals in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Mason County won 61-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Pendleton County (Falmouth, KY)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Fairland Dragons (Proctorville, OH) in a Ohio Valley challenge, on Monday, December 18. Chesapeake will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 71-23 league win over South Point (South Point, OH).
