Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 37-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Old Lyme upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Norwich RVT (Norwich, CT) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Norwich RVT lost 40-28 in their recent league bout against Windham RVT (Willimantic, CT)

Next up, the Highlanders clash with the East Granby Crusaders (East Granby, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
