Virginia High School Basketball - James Wood can't hold off Sherando

The Sherando Warriors basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting James Wood Colonels to 35 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Strasburg for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Sherando will battle a Rams team coming off a 39-24 non-league win over Warren County (Front Royal, VA). The Rams record now stands at 2-3.

The Colonels (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Clarke County (Berryville, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Clarke County was nudged by Skyline (Front Royal, VA), 53-34, in a non-league contest.
