Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Plymouth Pilgrims (New Plymouth, ID), 54-14 in a league bout.

With the victory, Melba upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Nyssa won 56-24 in their recent non-league bout against New Plymouth (New Plymouth, ID)

Next up, the Pilgrims play the North Star Huskies (Eagle, ID) in a 2A Western Idaho bout, on Saturday, December 17. New Plymouth will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 27-23 league win over Compass Charter (Meridian, ID).
