West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mill River Minutemen (North Clarendon, VT), 88-7 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Rutland upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Golden Horde host Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT) to confront the Eagles in a Marble Valley - D challenge on Monday, January 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Minutemen confront the Twin Valley Wildcats (Wilmington, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Mill River will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
