West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mill River Minutemen (North Clarendon, VT), 60-10 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Rutland upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Golden Horde host Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT) to play the Eagles in a Marble Valley - D bout on Monday, January 2. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Minutemen play the Arlington Memorial Eagles (Arlington, VT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Mill River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
