Abington Galloping Ghosts (Abington, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Wissahickon Trojans (Ambler, PA), 79-66 in a league bout.

With the victory, Abington upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Galloping Ghosts host Pennsbury (Fairless Hills, PA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Pennsbury lost 53-34 in their recent league bout against Council Rock South (Holland, PA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials (Plymouth Meeting, PA) in a Suburban One - American bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Wissahickon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Colonials come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 64-57 league win over Upper Dublin (Fort Washington, PA).
