Michigan High School Basketball - New Standard Academy can't hold off International Academy

The International Academy Phoenix basketball team scored 59 points and held the host New Standard Academy Spartans to 58 in the Phoenix league triumph on Friday.
The Phoenix now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Imlay City for a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. International Academy will play a Spartans squad coming off a 72-28 league win over Algonac (Algonac, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 7-1.
Next up, the Spartans play the Morrice Orioles (Morrice, MI) in a Genesee Area - Blue bout, on Monday, December 18. New Standard Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Orioles come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 50-45 league win over Genesee (Genesee, MI).
