Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds (Imboden, AR) and the host Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR), saw Sloan-Hendrix's basketball squad overcome Izard County by a tally of 62-48.

With the victory, Sloan-Hendrix improves its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Marshall (Marshall, AR) to confront the Bobcats in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Marshall won 90-62 in their recent league challenge against South Side (Bee Branch, AR)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Mammoth Spring Bears (Mammoth Spring, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. Izard County will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 64-58 non-league win over Highland (Hardy, AR).
