Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Woburn Memorial Tanners (Woburn, MA), 71-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lexington upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Minutemen host Burlington (Burlington, MA) to play the Red Devils in a Middlesex bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Burlington lost 55-46 in their recent league bout against Watertown (Watertown, MA)

Next up, the Tanners play the Wakefield Memorial Warriors (Wakefield, MA) in a Middlesex bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Woburn Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 83-42 league win over Melrose (Melrose, MA).
