Texas High School Basketball - Slocum knocked off by Wells

The Wells Pirates basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Slocum Mustangs to 33 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shelbyville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Wells will meet a Dragons team coming off a 49-47 non-league loss to Alto (Alto, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 9-3.

The Mustangs (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Elkhart (Elkhart, TX). The Elks enter the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Elkhart was defeated by Onalaska (Onalaska, TX), 73-46, in a non-league contest.
