Texas High School Basketball - Wells thwarts Slocum

The Wells Pirates (Wells, TX) basketball knocked off the host Slocum Mustangs (Elkhart, TX), 67-53 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Pirates (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Groveton (Groveton, TX). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record.

The Mustangs now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Cushing for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 5. Slocum will encounter a Bearkats squad coming off a 47-36 non-league win over Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 2-2.
