With the victory, Maize South upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Derby (Derby, KS) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Derby won 57-43 in their recent non-league challenge against South (Salina, KS)

Next up, the Railroaders play the Eisenhower Tigers (Goddard, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 70-24 non-league loss to Andover (Andover, KS).
