With the victory, Maize South improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Andover Central (Andover, KS) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Andover Central won 41-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Salina Central (Salina, KS)

Next up, the Railroaders confront the Derby Panthers (Derby, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Newton will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 52-45 league win over Hutchinson (Hutchinson, KS).
