Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN), 70-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Minnewaska Area upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Paynesville (Paynesville, MN) to play the Bulldogs in a AA Section 3 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Paynesville won 59-48 in their recent non-league bout against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN)

Next up, the Tigers play the Mayer Lutheran Crusaders (Mayer, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 59-57 league win over Lester Prairie (Lester Prairie, MN).
