Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN), 68-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Minnewaska Area upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Lakers host Melrose (Melrose, MN) to play the Dutchmen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Dutchmen go into the bout with a record of 6-16. Melrose lost 43-39 in their recent league bout against Osakis (Osakis, MN)

Next up, the Tigers play the Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles (Madison, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-19 record after their 63-60 non-league win over Benson (Benson, MN).
