The Washington County Commanders basketball team (Springfield, KY), was overwhelmed 51-27 in Friday's league battle with the host Nelson County Cardinals (Bardstown, KY)
The Cardinals now possess a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jeffersontown for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 19. Nelson County will battle a Chargers team coming off a 65-5 non-league loss to Holy Cross (Louisville, KY). The Chargers record now stands at 0-4.
The Commanders (0-6) will now prepare for their battle against Burgin (Burgin, KY). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Burgin was overwhelmed by East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY), 61-56, in a league battle.
