The Nelson County Cardinals basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Washington County Commanders to 41 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marion County for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Nelson County will meet a Knights team coming off a 59-28 league loss to Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY). The Knights record now stands at 9-7.

The Commanders (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 11-11 record. In their last contest, Bullitt East ran past Jeffersontown (Louisville, KY), 60-12, in a league contest.
