The Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC), 72-34 in Friday's league test.
The Vikings (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Cary (Cary, NC). The Imps go into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Cary walloped Apex (Apex, NC), 33-26, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to KIPP Pride for a 1A Tar Roanoke test on Friday, January 5. Wilson Prep will encounter a Pride squad coming off a 59-7 non-league loss to Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Pride record now stands at 0-5.
