Texas High School Basketball - Sundown over Ropes

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) and the visiting Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX), saw Sundown's basketball squad overcome Ropes by a tally of 52-44.

With the victory, Sundown improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Roughnecks travel to Post (Post, TX) to confront the Antelopes in a 2A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a record of 2-12. Post lost 68-20 in their recent league challenge against New Home (New Home, TX)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Tahoka Bulldogs (Tahoka, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Ropes will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 50-38 non-league win over Robert Lee (Robert Lee, TX).
