Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC), 38-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grimsley upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Whirlies host Thomasville (Thomasville, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Northwest Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
