The Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA) basketball felled the visiting Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA), 50-39 in Friday's non-league test.

The Blue Devils (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Petersburg (Petersburg, VA). The Crimson Wave go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record.

The Warriors now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to L.C. Bird for a non-league test on Monday, December 18. Matoaca will encounter a Skyhawks squad coming off a 69-16 non-league win over Richmond City School of the Arts (Richmond, VA). The Skyhawks record now stands at 6-1.
