Meek Tigers (Arley, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Addison Bulldogs (Addison, AL), 58-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Meek upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Choctaw County won 66-49 in their recent non-league bout against Vardaman (Vardaman, MS)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Sumiton Christian Eagles (Sumiton, AL) in a 1A Area 13 bout, on Monday, December 19. Addison will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 56-42 non-league win over Jefferson Christian Academy (Birmingham, AL).
