Oakwood Comets (Fithian, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Armstrong Trojans (Armstrong, IL), 68-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Oakwood upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Comets travel to Monticello (Monticello, IL) to clash with the Sages in a non-league bout on Monday, December 26. The Sages go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Monticello lost 56-35 in their recent non-league bout against Mater Dei (Breese, IL)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Heritage Hawks (Broadlands, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Armstrong will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 51-45 non-league loss to Arthur-Okaw Christian (Arthur, IL).
