Coventry Comets (Akron, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Field Falcons (Mogadore, OH), 67-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Coventry upgrades its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Washington (Massillon, OH) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Washington lost 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH)

Next up, the Falcons play the Crestwood Red Devils (Mantua, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Field will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 69-47 non-league win over Conneaut (Conneaut, OH).
