Georgia High School Basketball - Vidalia nips Pierce County

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA) and the host Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA), saw Vidalia's basketball squad hold off Pierce County by a count of 51-46.

With the victory, Vidalia upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 17. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Montgomery County won 52-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Wheeler County (Alamo, GA)

Next up, the Bears play the Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 19. Pierce County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
